2020 – The Year of Covid-19 and all it’s pitfalls! We had a record number of harvesters just wanting to get outside, so many new friends!
Perry Lake may have flooded out the campers but the grapes loved all the rain and gave us 35,000 pounds of product for our wine!
After a crushing 2017 harvest, loosing almost 80% of our crop, we came back picking 13.5 tons and having another one of grapes on the vine for a later harvest.
All our grapes were hit by below zero temps in mid-December, resulting in roughly an 80% loss of fruit for our 2017 harvest. But…
18 TONS of grapes picked by almost 200 volunteers. It was a great year!
Just over 12 tons picked in four days.
We should have had 30,000 pounds and ended up with about 4,700 due to the May 16th frost.
